Hardin Construction Company
tall / 508,000 square feet
mixed-use building with SS-3000 four-side silicone glazed composite
curtain wall, H-3000 conventionally glazed stick-type curtain wall,
S-3000 two-side silicone glazed stick-type curtain wall, L-2500
conventionally glazed balcony window wall, high-performance insulated
vision glass, and high-span L-3000 ground floor curtainwall.
architecture of 3344 Peachtree was conceived as a series of inset
crystalline volumes. Consistent with the notion of crystalline
architectural forms, the building envelope would utilize four-sided
butt-glazing in conjunction with two-sided and four-sided captured
curtain wall systems. As the design developed, the building form became
more dynamic and the building geometries more complex. Large scale
curved building elements evolved into three-dimensional conical
geometries. This resulted in a 50 story building in which no two
levels were alike in terms of area or dimension. Bruce Wall Systems was
brought into the process at an early stage and their technical
expertise and willingness to take on new challenges made them a key
player in developing technically solid, cost-effective solutions that
enabled the architectural vision to become a reality.”
